BREAKING NEWS | Two West Gang members – including its current leader – have been killed in a shootout with police in Inanda.
It comes hours after two women were also found dead in the area, tortured and beaten.
The suspects are linked to those murders, and other armed robberies which have plagued the community.
They were located by the Inanda SAPS Task Team, Ntuzuma SAPS detectives – and SA Tactical Enforcement – in a CI-guided operation a short while ago.
The gangsters allegedly launched an attack on police members when they arrived – but were not successful.
The women were murdered because the West Gang allegedly believed they were selling them out to police.
Two guns have been seized.
