Morocco’s superstars in good spirits in Bloem

A star-studded Morocco national team, which includes Brahim Diaz and new Manchester City signing Ayyoub Bouaddi, looks to be enjoying a comfortable stay in Bloemfontein ahead of their clash against Lesotho.

Africa’s number one-ranked national team, Morocco, are currently in South Africa, where they will take on Lesotho this afternoon at Toyota Stadium.

Due to Lesotho not having a CAF-approved stadium in their country, they have instead scheduled the match against Morocco on South African soil.

While Morocco’s presence in Mzansi has gone somewhat under the radar due to the fact that they are not in the country to face Bafana Bafana, their players seem to be in good spirits in Bloemfontein.

Morocco were the furthest African team to progress at the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup, as they were the only CAF side to reach the quarter-finals at the tournament.

The bulk of the squad that competed at the World Cup are part of the group in the Free State, including Real Madrid’s Diaz, Paris Saint-Germain’s Achraf Hakimi, Bayern Munich’s Ismael Saibari, and Man City’s teenage playmaker Bouaddi.
