The Swartberg Pass near Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo, in the Western Cape, has been closed to traffic until further notice because of rain and snow.

It is closed on the Oudtshoorn as well as the Prince Albert side. The pass has been used as the main road for traffic between Oudtshoorn and Prince Albert since the closing of the Meiringspoort Pass in Mei following storm damage.
