In South Africa, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema and Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Geordin Hill-Lewis clashed during a leadership debate organized by Arena Holdings. Malema rejected claims that the EFF is corrupt, while Hill-Lewis accused the party of destabilizing coalitions and being involved in misconduct.

Malema said that since the EFF was founded, none of its members or leaders has been convicted or charged with corruption in connection with holding office. He called on opponents to provide evidence and referred to the work of the party’s representatives in government.

Gun violence is out of control in South Africa, so any crime involving illegal gunfire is extremely serious. It’s important to punish illegal firearm crimes harshly.
