EFF leader Julius Malema warns race-based politics will backfire badly
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has warned that the reliance on race-based politics in South Africa will ultimately backfire on those who promote it. Speaking during a recent engagement, Malema emphasized that the country’s political landscape requires a more inclusive approach that addresses the material conditions of all citizens rather than focusing on racial divisions.
The obsession with race-based politics is a distraction from the real issues facing our people, and those who continue to use it as a tool for mobilization will find that it backfires badly against them in the long run.
Malema argued that the EFF’s focus remains on economic emancipation and the redistribution of wealth, which he believes transcends racial lines. He cautioned that political parties attempting to build support solely on racial identity are ignoring the growing frustration among the electorate regarding service delivery, unemployment, and inequality.
The EFF leader reiterated his party’s commitment to challenging the status quo and warned that the political establishment should not underestimate the desire for radical change among the South African public.
