JUST IN: Sundowns keeper closing in on PSL switch

Jody February looks set for another loan spell away from Mamelodi Sundowns, with Siwelele FC emerging as his likely home for the 2026/27 season.
The 30-year-old has found regular game time hard to come by since joining Sundowns from Ajax Cape Town in 2019, and another move could now be on the cards with the new season underway.
February spent several seasons away from the Brazilians on loan after arriving at Chloorkop, with those moves giving him an opportunity to get regular first-team football.
However, since June 2023, the goalkeeper has remained at Downs without another loan move, despite struggling to establish himself as a regular.
That could now change, with Siwelele showing interest in taking him on loan as they continue to shape their squad for the ongoing 2026/27 campaign.
KickOff understands that talks over a potential move are well advanced, although the deal has not yet been completed.
February’s representative, Mike Makaab, confirmed to this website that the process is still ongoing and the final details are being ironed out.
“Not done yet, but it’s in progress. We are finalizing at the moment,” Makaab briefly revealed.
The imminent move to Siwelele comes after Ricardo Goss returned to the Tshwane giants following his loan spell with the Bloemfontein-based club.
With the Bafana Bafana international now back at the two-time CAF Champions League winners, the club have a number of experienced goalkeepers on their books.

Ronwen Williams and Denis Onyango remain options for head coach Miguel Cardoso, while Reyaad Pieterse is also part of the goalkeeping department.
That could make another loan move a sensible option for February, particularly if it gives him the chance to play regularly.
