A total of 190 suspects were arrested during #OperationShanela II for various offences within Ekurhuleni Policing precincts over the weekend, from Friday 07/05 until Sunday 09/05 with a total of 3 illegal liquor outlets shut down.

Amongst the suspects, 139 suspects were arrested by the Detectives in the District Policing Precincts during their suspects #TracingOps on Saturday, 08/05. Amongst others, 76 suspects were arrested for Contact crime, two for property crime, 46 for other serious crime and 13 for #GBV-related cases.

In Primrose, on Saturday 08/05, #SAPS members operationalised information about a landlord involved in a domesic violence related matter with his tenants. Upon arrival at the identified premises, the suspect was found in possession of a firearm for which he failed to produce a valid firearm license.
