SAPS arrested a 29-year-old Nigerian national with gun

SAPS arrested a 29-year-old Nigerian national in Milnerton on Friday after an intelligence-driven operation uncovered four unlicensed firearms and 98 rounds of ammunition at Bridge Water Apartments in Century City.

Public Order Police and Provincial Organised Crime detectives also seized five smartphones and three laptops. The suspect faces charges of unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition and is due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 17 August 2026.
