A cash-in-transit (CIT) robbery at Moutsiya Mall left shoppers terrified after heavily armed suspects attacked security cash handlers inside the shopping centre and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
During the robbery, gunfire erupted, causing panic among shoppers and staff.
Two bystanders were injured -one was shot inside a clinic and another was wounded inside a retail store. Both received medical treatment and were taken to hospital in stable condition.
The suspects escaped in a getaway vehicle, prompting a police manhunt.
Limpopo police have launched an investigation and are appealing to the public for information that could assist in tracking down the robbers.
