WhatsApp messages reveal Sayed forwarding exchanges with Malema
Allegations involving Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema have emerged in court papers filed by the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in response to an urgent application brought by Crime Intelligence Deputy Head Major General Feroz Khan.
It is alleged that Khan and businessman Mohammad Sayed facilitated parliamentary questions by the EFF relating to former Inspector-General of Intelligence Dr Setlhomamaru Dintwe.
The commission claims that WhatsApp messages show Sayed forwarding exchanges with Malema regarding those questions.
According to the affidavit, the questions were intended to place Dintwe under pressure and “trap him in a lie.”
