South African coach Pitso Mosimane recently lent an ear to an African national team amid reports linking him with the Bafana Bafana job.

It is still believed that Mosimane is a frontrunner in the race to become the successor to the departed Belgian coach Hugo Broos at the Bafana helm.

Mosimane and his representatives are understood to have already engaged with SAFA over his potential appointment, with a decision expected to be confirmed before the September international break.

While the wait continues, Mosimane has been sharing his expertise with the coaching staff of the Lesotho national team.

The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) confirmed that they recently met with Mosimane to share knowledge on various football matters.

“The LeFA delegation received a warm reception from Mr. Mosimane, as well as representatives from MT Sports Marketing and Management, who represent the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach,” read a statement by LeFA.

“Discussions during the meeting focused on continental football, technical development matters, and potential areas of collaboration between the Lesotho Football Association and the Pitso Mosimane Youth Football.

“The engagement forms part of LeFA’s ongoing efforts to benchmark, learn, and build strategic partnerships that will contribute to the growth and development of football in Lesotho at both national team and youth level.”
