Mbalula to face crimen injuria prosecution over child rapist remarks

AfriForum, which has been vocal in pursuing the matter, welcomed the decision, stating that it serves as a necessary check on political figures who use their platforms to make inflammatory or defamatory statements.
Mbalula’s legal team is expected to challenge the summons, though the NPA maintains that there is a prima facie case to answer. The case is set to be heard in the coming months, marking a significant legal battle for the ANC official.
