Man Seriously Beaten Up By His Neighbor For
A 42-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by his neighbour in Maidstone, KwaZulu-Natal, after he lost a hammer he had borrowed from the neighbour.
According to the report, the man borrowed the hammer to do casual work but later lost it. He says he had been drinking when his neighbour confronted him about the missing tool.
He allegedly told his neighbour that he would pay for the hammer on Tuesday, 25 August, but the neighbour reportedly became angry and assaulted him.
The man then went to sleep. When he woke up the following morning, he discovered that he had injuries to his face, head and right wrist.
He could not remember whether his neighbour had used an object or weapon during the alleged assault. He eventually walked to Gopalall Hurbans Road, where he sought assistance and was attended to by Reaction Unit South Africa officers.
