Kaze wants Sekhukhune player to trust the plans

Sekhukhune United coach Cedric Kaze was not too pleased with how the side came out for the first half against Orlando Pirates in their MTN8 semi-final first leg.

Babina Noko now have a tall order on their hands in the return leg next Saturday at the Orlando Amstel Arena and need to win by two unanswered goals to reach their first-ever final of the tournament.

Therefore, it’s not over yet for Babina Noko, who believes their last-third penetrations, entries and being accurate in that phase of the game need to improve and are hopeful that they will in due course.

“I believe that the first half was not what we would’ve hoped; we played with a little bit of fear. We concede a goal at very bad moment at the end of the first half, but in the second half we came back with the better intentions, mindset,” Kaze told SuperSport TV post-match.

“But we need to work more on our last-third entries and have more composure, movements and better technical accuracy, but I’m hoping we will get better,” continued the coach.

On the balance of play, the performance in the second half overshadowed that of the first.

The former Kaizer Chiefs co-coach says he hopes they meet the Buccaneers again in their next encounter in the Betway Premiership, on Tuesday at Orlando (19:30), carrying the same positivity and mindset from the get-go.

“I feel like we had a better second half; we were the better team in the second half. We need to bring that into the next game and go in with a positive mindset from the beginning, trust our plan, and I hope and pretty sure we will do better,” Kaze said.
