Fatal two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Pretoria Main Road and Maxwell Drive in Waterfall, Midrand

Law Enforcement personnel, alongside emergency services, attended to a severe two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Pretoria Main Road and Maxwell Drive in Waterfall, Midrand.

The accident involves a minibus taxi and a Mercedes-Benz sedan. Following the impact of the crash, the minibus taxi allegedly overturned and caught fire.

Regrettably, five (5) fatalities have been confirmed on scene from the minibus taxi. Fatalities or injuries regarding the occupant(s) of the Mercedes-Benz sedan are yet to be confirmed as emergency responders actively work on site.

The intersection of Pretoria Main Road and Maxwell Drive has been completely closed off in all directions.

Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Ms. Nakedi Kekana, has cautioned all
