EFF hits back at AfriForum over Malema’s crimen injuria prosecution

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have responded to AfriForum’s pursuit of a crimen injuria prosecution against party leader Julius Malema, following his public accusations against an Eastern Cape school principal.

The EFF’s race card has expired. It’s an old story. It’s boring. They need to come up with new excuses. Their leadership needs to start taking responsibility for their reckless and illegal actions.

AfriForum’s Private Prosecution Unit successfully convinced the National Prosecuting Authority to proceed with the case, which stems from Malema labeling the principal a “rapist” despite the lack of evidence. The EFF maintains that the legal action is a politically motivated attempt to undermine the party and its leadership.
