Drug-dealing suspect arrested at Newlands East
The Durban Metro Police Service Drug Team SOD1 and EITT, working together with Counter Narcotics KZN Crime Intelligence, conducted an intelligence-driven operation at a suspected drug outlet on Garrupa Crescent, Newlands East, on 18 August 2026.
Following the execution of a search warrant, a 20-year-old male suspect was arrested for dealing in and possession of drugs.
Officers seized:
163 pieces of crack cocaine
100 Mandrax tablets
11 bags of cocaine powder
R10,334 in cash
The drugs seized have an estimated value of approximately R35,484.
The suspect was detained at SAPS and charged under Newlands East CAS.
