A serious multi-vehicle collision occurred along the M25 between Bester and Kwa Mashu Crossroads on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in significant traffic congestion in both directions.
KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services responded swiftly to the scene, where medics immediately established a triage area to assess and treat the injured.
It is believed that the collision began when a light motor vehicle was involved in an initial crash, which subsequently resulted in multiple vehicles colliding.
Two children sustained moderate injuries and were treated and stabilised on scene by KZN VIP medics before being transported to a nearby medical facility for further medical assessment.
The exact circumstances surrounding the cause of the collision remain under investigation and cannot be confirmed at this stage.
All emergency services were in attendance, and motorists experienced severe delays while the scene was cleared and investigations were conducted.
