Watch As SAPS Anti-kidnapping team take down kidnappers
These pictures show the SAPS KZN Provincial Tracing Team during a kidnapping takedown.
The suspects were tracked and intercepted in a victim’s Hyundai on Umgeni Road yesterday.
The trio is linked to the abduction of eight people from their home in Chappies Section, Sundumbili, on Friday morning.
All except one woman – in her thirties – were released at KwaDabeka soon after.
She was held in Phoenix.
Within hours, the PTT identified one of the two vehicles used in the incident and nabbed the suspected criminals.
They subsequently found and freed the woman, who was fortunately unharmed.
She had recently received a Road Accident Fund payout, which is believed to be the motive.
About R30k of this money was already spent by the suspects.
Police are appealing to the public not to expose any payouts they may receive.
More suspects are being sought.
