Vilakazi outlines Chiefs approach for ‘dangerous’ side

Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Mfundo Vilakazi has outlined Amakhosi’s approach for their Betway Premiership clash against Richards Bay.

The Soweto giants will be in search of their third win of the league season when they visit Richards Bay FC at Princess Magogo Stadium in Kwa Mashu on Wednesday evening.

Chiefs have an impressive record of two wins and a draw from their three matches this season under new head coach Fernando Da Cruz.

Central to their creativity is Vilakazi, who is expected to start on Wednesday.

The attacking midfielder insisted that while Bay have proven to be dangerous when playing at home, Amakhosi have made adequate preperations.

“Richards Bay are a very good team and especially dangerous at home,” Vilakazi told the club’s media ahead of the match.

“But we are going there with confidence. Our technical team has done its analysis, and we have a game plan that we believe will lead us to victory.

“We are all in a good space and ready for the challenge. We want to build and maintain forward momentum, and that’s how we approach every game. We know the expectations of our amazing fans, and we never want to disappoint our fans.”

Bay are 13th on the log and will be looking for their first win of the season when they host Chiefs. They have lost two and drawn one from their opening three matches.
