‘No-one can control us’: Malema clashes with Hill-Lewis during leadership debate

EFF leader Julius Malema has responded to allegations that they are a “chaotic and corrupt” coalition partner.

During a leadership debate organized by Arena Holdings, Malema and Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Geordin Hill-Lewis engaged in a heated exchange regarding the integrity of their respective parties.

No-one can control us.

Malema rejected claims that the EFF is corrupt, asserting that since the party was founded, none of its members or leaders has been convicted or charged with corruption in connection with holding office. He challenged his opponents to provide evidence for their claims.

Hill-Lewis, in turn, accused the EFF of destabilizing coalitions and being involved in misconduct, leading to a tense confrontation between the two political figures.
