BREAKING: A white South African SPAR store manager reportedly clashed with protesters after the store was accused of employing undocumented foreign nationals instead of local South Africans.

During a heated confrontation, the manager allegedly threatened to close the store and stop paying taxes to the government if he was forced to change his hiring practices.

March leaders responded that they did not care if the business closed, questioning the purpose of operating in the community if locals were not being given employment opportunities. One protester reportedly told the manager that if he did not want to employ locals, he should “close it and take it to Zimbabwe.”
