Pitso Mosimane has made it clear that his return to Bafana Bafana is about far more than simply preparing the team for its next match.
The newly appointed national team head coach has outlined an ambitious four-year vision that he hopes will culminate in South Africa challenging for major honours and arriving at the 2030 FIFA World Cup as a genuine force.
Mosimane was officially unveiled as Bafana coach at SAFA House on Tuesday morning, 14 years after his first spell in charge of the national team.
While AFCON qualification and the upcoming campaign remain immediate priorities, the experienced coach stressed that his plans extend well beyond the next FIFA window.
