Watch As Pig Gets Attacked By Unknown Men in Phoenix – KZN

A pig was assaulted by multiple individuals on Eastbury Drive in Phoenix – KZN on Saturday (09/05/2026).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene at approximately 17:28 after receiving reports of animal cruelty. On arrival, Reaction Officers found the pig lying alongside the roadway while the alleged perpetrators had already fled.

Residents in the area informed Officers that approximately five (5) males were allegedly seen assaulting the animal for unknown reasons. It was further alleged that the individuals reside at a nearby scrap yard.

A representative from a wildlife organisation who was present on scene informed Officers that the owner of the pig had arranged to transport the animal to a veterinarian for treatment.

In video footage and pictures supplied by a passerby, approximately five (5) men can allegedly be seen assaulting the pig.

One (1) individual is seen holding the tied animal while the others repeatedly beat it.
