Vehicle Collision Leaves Three Injured: Verulam – KZN

Three (3) people were injured after a Toyota Tazz collided into a tow truck transporting a Ferrari at the R102 & Wick Street intersection in Verulam – KZN yesterday evening (Sunday, 10/05/2026).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the intersection at approximately 19:42 after receiving multiple reports of a serious collision. On arrival, Reaction Officers found a white Toyota Tazz extensively damaged in the roadway.

It was established that the Toyota Tazz carrying three (3) occupants was travelling southbound on the R102 when a black tow truck transporting a Ferrari (picture 3) allegedly entered the intersection from Old Inanda Road. The vehicles collided at the intersection.

The Toyota Tazz sustained extensive damage to the front, windscreen and left passenger side. The driver sustained head and suspected internal injuries. The front passenger suffered serious injuries to his legs and head and had to be extricated from the wreckage by Firefighters. A rear passenger sustained multiple injuries including head, spine and leg injuries.

Paramedics from a private ambulance service stabilised the injured on scene before transporting all three (3) occupants of the Toyota Tazz to hospital for further medical attention.
