Suspect vehicle and stolen vehicle recovered in the KwaMashu area
Suspicious activity involving a maroon and grey Mitsubishi Colt was reported in the Parkgate area on Monday morning following an attempted theft of a vehicle. KZN VIP members were alerted and immediately responded to the area.
The vehicle was spotted by KZN VIP members in the KwaMashu area. A high-speed chase ensued, and the suspects were forced to abandon the vehicle and flee on foot into the nearby bushes.
Upon searching the abandoned Mitsubishi Colt, it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Phoenix area earlier that morning. The vehicle was recovered and handed over to the South African Police Service for further investigation.
