Serious Crash Leaves 2 Dead in Durban CBD Crash on Saturday Afternoon

Two people have tragically lost their lives and several others sustained injuries following a serious single-vehicle crash along Masabalala Yengwa Avenue in the Durban CBD a short while ago.

KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services, together with multiple emergency service providers, responded promptly to the scene. Upon arrival, medics found multiple patients with varying degrees of injuries.

Despite rapid medical intervention, two occupants were sadly declared deceased on scene. Critically injured patients were stabilised by KZN VIP Advanced Life medics and other emergency services before being transported to nearby medical facilities for further urgent medical care.

The exact circumstances leading up to the crash remain unknown at this stage and will form part of an ongoing investigation by the South African Police Service (SAPS).

All emergency services remain in attendance.
