RTI officer killed in horrific vehicle fire on N2 in Park Rynie.

Road Traffic Inspectorate officer Tim Simpson has died after the state vehicle he was travelling in caught fire while he was on duty along the N2 in Park Rynie, KwaZulu-Natal, last night.

Simpson was reportedly trapped inside the vehicle as it became engulfed in flames. The circumstances surrounding the fire are still being investigated.
He is being remembered by those who knew him as an officer who stood firmly by his principles, served with integrity and was committed to doing his duty.
