Repaying The Faith: Moremi Becomes Top Scorer Under Ouaddou

Tshepang Moremi has given Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou plenty of reasons to believe in him, with the winger’s latest milestone highlighting just how much he has contributed since arriving at the club.

Moremi reached 50 appearances for the Buccaneers over the weekend, becoming the fourth player to reach the landmark under Ouaddou. Only Sipho Chaine and Oswin Appollis, both on 58 appearances, and Lebone Seema, on 52, have featured more times under the coach.

However, it is Moremi’s impact in front of goal that sets him apart. His goal over the weekend took his tally to 16 in all competitions since making his Pirates debut in August 2025. No other player has scored more for the club during that period.

The numbers underline the value Moremi has brought to Ouaddou’s side. While the likes of Chaine, Appollis and Seema have also been regulars, the former Golden Arrows attacker has combined consistent selection with an impressive scoring return.

His 16 goals in 50 appearances amount to a goal every three games, a significant contribution from a player who has quickly become an important part of the Pirates attack.
