Ramaphosa praises Siya Kolisi and Temba Bavuma in GBV appeal to SA men

President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on the men of South Africa to take a stand against gender-based violence (GBV), specifically highlighting the positive influence of national sports captains Siya Kolisi and Temba Bavuma.

It is time for good men to stop being silent men. We have seen the likes of Siya Kolisi and Temba Bavuma speak out against gender-based violence, and I want to see more men follow their example.

The President emphasized that the fight against GBV cannot be left to women alone and that men must actively challenge the behavior of their peers, colleagues, and relatives to foster a safer society for all.
