Ramaphosa heads to eThekwini as ANC battles to win back metro
President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to visit the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality as the African National Congress (ANC) intensifies its efforts to regain full control of the metro ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
The party has been facing significant political pressure in the region, with recent polling indicating a highly competitive landscape. Despite these challenges, ANC leadership in the region remains optimistic about their prospects.
The ANC on the 4th of November will win the elections in eThekwini, we’ve prepared ourselves in every way possible in the structures from voting districts, to cells to branches, we will win on the 4th of November.
The visit comes at a critical time as the ANC works to address service delivery concerns and consolidate its support base in KwaZulu-Natal’s only metro. The party is currently navigating a complex political environment, including competition from the MK Party and the need to maintain its influence in a region that has historically been a stronghold.
