Phala Phala impeachment probe moves forward as ANC, EFF finalise key committee nominees

All political parties which will be represented on Parliament’s impeachment committee to consider allegations of impropriety against President Cyril Ramaphosa have now submitted their names to the Speaker.

With the African National Congress (ANC) having missed Friday’s deadline to make its submissions of nine names, it’s decided to field the Chairperson of Parliament’s Committee on the Presidency, Doris Mpapane, at the top of its list.

Other members of the ANC who will form part of the 31-member committee include portfolio committee chairpersons Faith Muthambi, Boyce Maneli, Lusizo Makhubela and Mika Mahlaule.
