‘No-one can control us’: Malema clashes with Hill-Lewis during leadership debate

EFF leader Julius Malema has responded to allegations that they are a “chaotic and corrupt” coalition partner.

During a leadership debate organized by Arena Holdings, Malema and Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Geordin Hill-Lewis clashed over the governance record of the EFF. Hill-Lewis accused the party of destabilizing coalitions and being involved in misconduct.

Malema rejected the claims, stating that since the EFF was founded, none of its members or leaders has been convicted or charged with corruption in connection with holding office. He challenged his opponents to provide evidence for their allegations and defended the party’s conduct in local government.
