‘No-one can control us’: Malema clashes with Hill-Lewis during leadership debate

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema and Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Geordin Hill-Lewis clashed during a leadership debate organized by Arena Holdings. Malema rejected claims that the EFF is a “chaotic and corrupt” coalition partner, while Hill-Lewis accused the party of destabilizing coalitions and being involved in misconduct.

Malema stated that since the EFF was founded, none of its members or leaders has been convicted or charged with corruption in connection with holding office. He challenged his opponents to provide evidence for their allegations and defended the party’s record in governance.
