Nigerian male arrested after allegedly selling drugs in the Silver Sands area
The Durban Metro Police Service Tactical Support Unit conducted an operation on 14 September 2026 in the Durban CBD following information about a Nigerian male allegedly selling drugs in the Silver Sands area.
Members conducted surveillance and observed the suspect allegedly selling drugs from a black packet outside a bar on Gillespie Street.
The suspect was apprehended, and approximately 52 grams of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of R24 300 was seized.
The Nigerian male was arrested and detained at Point SAPS, where he was charged with possession and dealing in drugs.
