Nedbank Cup
The Nedbank Cup is South Africa’s premier knockout football competition, featuring teams from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and lower divisions. The tournament is known for its “David vs Goliath” encounters, where amateur and lower-league sides have the opportunity to compete against top-flight professional clubs.
In the 2026 edition of the tournament, Durban City FC emerged as the champions after defeating TS Galaxy FC in the final held at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on May 2, 2026. The match concluded with a 2-1 victory for Durban City, marking a historic achievement for the club.
Following their triumph, the club and its partners, including Nedbank, the PSL, and The Sports Trust, have focused on community development, notably handing over a new multipurpose sport court to Oceanview Primary School in September 2026 to create a lasting sporting legacy.
