Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has singled out two fellow teammates for special praise following a gruelling Betway Premiership battle against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Amakhosi had to settle for a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon, 15 August 2026, at a packed FNB Stadium.

Ndlovu pulled the strings in the engine room, providing the vital assist for starlet Langelihle Phili’s 63rd-minute opener before Cassius Mailula salvaged a point for the visitors.

The stellar Man of the Match display highlights the revived form of the energetic midfielder, who has registered crucial back-to-back assists for the Glamour Boys early this season.
Having initially arrived at Naturena in July 2025 from SuperSport United, Ndlovu has truly cemented his place under the current technical framework.
He attributed much of his tactical freedom to the work rate of Maboe and Mthethwa, praising their relentless industrial shifts for combating Masandawana’s dangerous midfield transition.
“It was a great effort from the lads, and I am proud of the outcome we got. Obviously, we wanted all three points but, against the champions of Africa, we’ll take the one point and move on to the next game,” Ndlovu told Chiefs’ media.
“Credit goes to everyone involved, particularly my midfield partners, ‘Ox’ (Mthethwa) and Lebo (Maboe). We all put in a proper shift, and I am grateful to have them alongside me. Either of them would have deserved the award.”
Up next, the Soweto giants hit the road to test their title-chasing credentials away from home. Amakhosi’s next league fixture sees them travel to KwaZulu-Natal to face Richards Bay at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday evening, 26 August 2026.
