MKP is dead: EFF’s Malema takes swipe at Zuma-led party

EFF leader Julius Malema has taken a swipe at MK Party leader Jacob Zuma’s return to politics, questioning how someone of his age could lead a party effectively. Malema declared the MKP to be his own party’s biggest enemy, despite working with it in the progressive caucus in Parliament.

Malema has firmly shut down talk of any merger or alliance with the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) ahead of the 2026 local government elections, claiming that Zuma’s party is effectively dead.
