MAN USES HIS R1.3 MILLION RAF PAYOUT TO BRING WATER TO HIS COMMUNITY

Meet the Mpumalanga man who used part of his Road Accident Fund (RAF) payout to bring water to his community. ❤️🇿🇦
After surviving a car accident that left him with leg injuries, Maseko received about R3 million from the RAF. Instead of using all the money for himself, he spent about R1.3 million on a water project.

More than 100 households had reportedly gone around 15 years without running water. Residents had to travel roughly 5km to collect water. Maseko bought water tanks, pipes and other equipment, hired workers and connected the system to a local stream, bringing water to homes in the village.

He says he did it because he wanted to give back to his community after reportedly being told that the municipality did not have the funds to provide the community with running water.

This is what using your blessings to bless others looks like
