Top-flight rookies Kruger United have welcomed a new signing as they ramp up efforts to move away from an undesirable position on the Betway Premiership standings.
Kruger were thumped 4-0 by Orlando Pirates at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday in a match where their performance was ultimately betrayed by the scoreline.

That means they are still winless in their debut season in the top league having finished last term with confetti flying all over the place as they were crowned kings of the Motsepe Foundation Championship with an impressive 62 points amassed.
Following their latest result, head coach Abram Mongoya has implored all associated with the Village Boys to trust the process, and the club has now made a key reinforcement.
Ayabulela Konqobe has come in from Chippa United, as confirmed by a close source.
The former junior international was conspicuous with his absence from the match-day squad in all four of the Eastern Cape side’s matches played thus far.
He has been a bit of a journeyman in a career that has taken him to clubs such as Ajax Cape Town, AmaZulu FC, SuperSport United, and Ekenas IF in Finland, and joins Kruger on a one-year deal, with an option of a further year.
One of the highlights of Konqobe’s 2025/26 season was a long-range goal he netted to rescue a point against Magesi FC in March, which would have presented the judging panel with a headache regarding the three strikes to contend for Goal of the Season.
He is expected to slot in at centre-back but is equally adept in midfield.
