The study, which involved interviews with 3,600 South Africans conducted nationally between June and July 2026, highlights a shifting political landscape in the region. The data suggests that the EFF is gaining substantial traction among voters in the metro, positioning itself as a major contender against established political parties.

The EFF is polling at 27% in Buffalo City, reflecting a growing appetite for the party’s platform among the local electorate.
