Joburg’s coalition of the unwilling: five leaders on one broken city
Tempers flared as leaders of the ANC, DA, EFF, IFP and ActionSA clashed in a fiery debate over corruption, coalition politics, service delivery, housing and immigration in Johannesburg.
The city has been hit hard by unemployment, immigration issues, poor infrastructure, rising levels of violent crime and vandalism and a lack of service delivery.
The debate highlighted the deep divisions between the major political parties as they vie for control ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
