Tempers flared as leaders of the ANC, DA, EFF, IFP and ActionSA clashed over service delivery, housing and immigration in a fiery debate regarding the future of Johannesburg.
But it has been hit hard by unemployment, immigration issues, poor infrastructure, rising levels of violent crime and vandalism and a lack of service delivery.
The debate highlighted the deep divisions between the parties as they presented competing visions for a city struggling with years of coalition instability and administrative decline.
