Gunmen Open Fire During Vehicle Theft: Tongaat – KZN
Two (2) armed suspects opened fire on a homeowner before stealing her gold Toyota Tazz from her residence on Moonstone Drive in Tongaat – KZN today (Thursday, 03/09/2026).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received the call for assistance at approximately 04:50. Reaction Officers arrived at the property and met with the complainant. She explained that the suspects had approached her home and knocked on the door. When she opened the door, they opened fire in her direction.
The gunmen thereafter stole her Toyota Tazz. Their escape was disrupted when the vehicle became stuck on the road. Reaction Officers recovered the vehicle abandoned a short distance away.
No injuries were reported
