Frosler Promises Amakhosi Won’t Let Third Trophy Chance Slip
Kaizer Chiefs defender Reeve Frosler has declared the club are hellbent on claiming the Carling Knockout Cup after already watching two potential trophies slip through their fingers this season.

The Glamour Boys face TS Galaxy in their opening Carling Knockout Cup fixture on Tuesday, with Frosler acknowledging the urgency to secure silverware after eliminations from both the MTN8 and CAF Confederation Cup have left Amakhosi with only three competitions remaining this campaign.
The Carling Knockout Cup, the Betway Premiership and the Nedbank Cup now represent Kaizer Chiefs’ sole opportunities for trophy success this season, after the double disappointment of early exits from continental and domestic cup competitions.
“TS Galaxy have been a tough opponent for us in the last few games, but it’s a cup competition and cup games are always different. We’ll look to put our best foot forward on Tuesday and try and go all the way in the Carling Cup. We have ambitions of wanting to win a trophy, and this gives us an opportunity to try and do that,” he told the club’s official website.

The defender’s comments highlight the significance of Tuesday’s encounter against the Rockets, with Frosler recognising both the challenge posed by their opponents and the opportunity presented by cup football.
Despite the highly anticipated Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates scheduled for the weekend, Frosler insists Kaizer Chiefs remain fully focused on the immediate task at hand.
“Obviously, we’ve got the (Soweto) Derby coming up on the weekend as well, but our attention is on TS Galaxy now, and we will use the game as preparation for Saturday,” he says.
