Former Buccaneer Spotted at Lerumo Lions
Soccer Laduma can confirm former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thuso Moleleki is training with Motsepe Foundation Championship side, Lerumo Lions.
According to those in the know, Moleleki is no longer a Buccaneer and is searching for a new home, hence his presence at Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit, Lerumo Lions.
“I believe he terminated (his contract) with Pirates and he’s now at Lerumo Lions,” said our source.
The Siya Crew spoke to Lerumo Lions head coach Tshepo Maphari, who confirmed Moleleki is with them going through an assessment.
“He has not yet signed but he’s still training with the team,” confirmed Maphari.
Moleleki was at Pirates from July 2024 having joined from Orbit College on a three-year deal and was later loaned out to the same Orbit College.
During his time with Pirates, he made his debut for the Buccaneers in the 2-1 win over Chippa United in September 2024, in a match played at Orlando Stadium.
The midfielder went on to make a total of four appearances for the Soweto side before being loaned out to Orbit.
Last season, he played 15 matches for the North West club but couldn’t save them from relegation.
