Five people were injured in a head-on collision on the N1 near Tweefontein on Sunday evening.
Reports indicate that a light delivery vehicle and a sedan collided in the incident. Two people, including the driver of the delivery vehicle, sustained critical injuries, while three others suffered minor injuries.
Traffic officers, EMS, SAPS, and Fire Services responded to the scene and have since cleared the road. All injured persons were transported to hospital for medical attention.
Motorists are urged to drive with caution in the area and continue obeying all road safety rules. The road has now reopened to traffic.
