EFF manifesto launch: KZN Inanda local government elections

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) are set to hold their provincial manifesto launch in Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal, with party leader Julius Malema scheduled to deliver the keynote address.

Tensions have escalated in the area as the EFF faces opposition from supporters of media personality Ngizwe Mchunu, who has organized a competing event at the same venue. The EFF alleges that Mchunu is attempting to deliberately provoke the party, while Mchunu maintains that his event is a low-risk gathering for prayer and that he has followed all necessary protocols.

The situation has led to confrontations, with the EFF opening a case against Mchunu following allegations that shots were fired at party volunteers preparing for the rally. Despite these clashes, the party remains committed to proceeding with its provincial manifesto launch at the JL Dube Stadium.
