EFF brushes off Malema’s NPA charges, hits out at AfriForum for weaponising justice system
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have dismissed the latest National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) charges against party leader Julius Malema, characterising the legal action as a politically motivated campaign orchestrated by AfriForum.
The EFF remains unfazed by these desperate attempts to silence the voice of the downtrodden through the weaponisation of the justice system. AfriForum continues to act as a proxy for those who fear the inevitable rise of economic emancipation in South Africa.
The party leadership stated that the charges are part of a broader strategy to distract from the EFF’s growing influence and its commitment to radical policy shifts. They argued that the legal system is being manipulated to target opposition figures who challenge the status quo.
We will not be intimidated by these frivolous legal maneuvers. Our focus remains on the struggle for land, jobs, and the restoration of dignity to the African majority.
The EFF further accused AfriForum of selectively pursuing cases to serve a specific ideological agenda, rather than upholding the rule of law. The party has vowed to continue its political activities undeterred, maintaining that the charges will not derail their national agenda.
