Da Cruz slams shut Chiefs incoming transfers door

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has responded to questions over Amakhosi’s transfer business, with the transfer window set to slam shut in a little over two weeks from now.
Amakhosi have been reasonably busy in the current Betway Premiership transfer window, adding necessary depth across all departments.
The Soweto giants secured 28-year-old goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner and 27-year-old defender Thabo Moloisane to tighten things up at the back.

In midfield, the club snapped up 24-year-old Tanzanian international Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko, while reinforcing their attack with Langelihle Phili, Faiz Abrahams (both wingers), alongside Khanyisa Mayo on a permanent deal.
Addressing members of the media at the Kaizer Chiefs Village during a pre-match press conference this week, the French tactician insisted his squad-building project is complete.
Despite intense pressure from the fanbase demanding more blockbuster signings, the man in charge is completely satisfied with his current roster.
“For the moment, I’m happy with the squad,” Da Cruz told journalists at the club’s base in Naturena.
“From my side, there is no interest in new players, but maybe if there is a good opportunity, the club will take a position on this good opportunity. But from my side, I repeat, I don’t request any new players. I’m very happy with our squad.”
While PSL clubs still have until 21 September at 17:00 to conclude transfer business before the domestic registration window slams shut, the Glamour Boys are seemingly officially out of the market.
They are scheduled to lock horns with Siwelele FC in a Betway Premiership clash at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto on Sunday (17:30).
Heading into the highly anticipated battle, Da Cruz’s charges sit third on the log with eight points from four matches. A win will not take them further up as log leaders Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are five points better off.
Meanwhile, their opponents are struggling down in 16th, still searching for their first win after drawing twice and losing twice from their first four fixtures.
